Setting Out

For:

Staff who are required to undertake simple survey work and set-out work profiles from the information gathered. Further, to set-out profiles from information supplied from plans and drawing or other technical staff.

Objectives:

To develop an awareness of the principles of basic setting out and the terminology used.
To give an understanding of the equipment used for recording and transferring levels and data.
To extend the candidates ability to record and calculate distances and levels.
To instill an awareness of the importance of accuracy within the subject.
To improve the candidates knowledge and ability regarding basic leveling and plotting.

2 days plus a 1 day extension (can be run as 3 consecutive days).
